Envision® Rating System

We incorporate Envision guidance to improve projects with best practices related to whole systems design, resource conservation, environmental preservation, risk mitigation, and more.  We perform project self-assessments and preparation of documentation for formal assessments resulting in national recognition.  We provide staff training for professional credentials (Envision Sustainability Professional) by one of only two trainers in Virginia.  Additionally we can update project procedures and workflow to facilitate Envision adoption and identify synergies with regulatory requirements. Learn more about Envision in our webinar in the "Your Hour with APA Virginia" Webinar Series.

Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure

We provide planning and design services that consider the triple bottom line – the social, environmental, and economic impacts and benefits – as well as all phases of the infrastructure life cycle.  We perform cost benefit analysis that goes beyond initial considerations to life cycle impacts to all three pillars to create more livable and resilient communities.  We facilitate stakeholder collaboration and support among departments, jurisdictions, and citizens.  We assist with classifying and prioritizing project lists for allocated funding.  We help your community develop goals, track indicators, and report on performance.
