Will has a broad skill set spanning the fields of architecture, planning, historic preservation, environmental consulting, and project management. Prior to beginning work with The Berkley Group in November 2022, he worked as Historic Preservation Intern for the University of Virginia Facilities Management for nearly two years. He has also worked for the City of Alexandria Department of Planning and Zoning; Blue Zone Resources; and MODE4 Architecture, PLLC. For the year prior to beginning work with The Berkley Group, Will spearheaded the rewrite of the design guidelines for the West of Boulevard Historic District in Richmond, Virginia as a consultant, and focused his graduate scholarship on historic preservation planning. His thesis, titled Promoting Preservation In America’s Inner Suburbs, was published by the University of Virginia Press in May 2022. Will holds a Bachelor of Architectural History, a Master of Architectural History, and a Certificate in Historic Preservation from the University of Virginia.
Will is a lifelong Virginian with a passion for uplifting Virginians and protecting and enhancing quality of life across the Commonwealth, and he is excited to pursue these goals as a Planner with The Berkley Group.
