We love traveling

One of our planners, Cecile Newcomb, vacationed in Alberta, Canada this fall and noticed many excellent principles of rural and urban planning in action. From the Downtown Calgary Flood Barrier along the Bow River that created a promenade, landscape, and park features that double as flood barriers and stormwater improvements – to Calgary’s “PLUS 15” Skywalk network, an elevated indoor public walkway  – to the incredible national parks of Banff and Jasper (pictured: Maligne Canyon) – and solar panels on public schools in Canmore. We love traveling; and seeing solutions that can be applied to our projects back home is a bonus.
