Welcome Sara Townsend, Ph.D.

Education Planner

Sara has been in public education for over 14 years, as both an educator and researcher. Most recently, she taught middle school Civics and Economics in Spotsylvania County Public Schools. She earned her PhD in Education Policy from George Mason University, where she examined how school district leaders approach teacher turnover. She lives in Fredericksburg, VA with her husband and daughter, and in her free time enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and playing golf.
