Benjamin W. Tripp, CEcD

Senior Planner

Benjamin has over 18 years of Planning and Economic Development experience working with local governments in Virginia. He has worked extensively on comprehensive planning, downtown development and streetscaping, multipurpose trails, redevelopment projects, transportation projects, and grant writing.  He is the architect of Salem, Virginia’s “Downtown Plan” redevelopment effort.

 

Benjamin is a former Chairman of the Roanoke Valley Greenway Commission, an AICP certified planner, an IEDC Certified Economic Developer, and an Uttara CYT 200 Hour Certified Yoga Instructor.  He holds a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from Virginia Tech, a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Roanoke College, and is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Economic Development Institute.

 

In his free time he enjoys travel, yoga, gardening, and chicken watching.
