Cindy Taylor

Cindy Taylor has over 30 years of public sector Human Resources experience.  Most recently, Cindy was a Performance Consultant with Chesterfield County’s Learning & Performance Center where she designed and delivered impactful training classes to support the organization's business needs. Prior to that she worked in the Human Resource department where she established the County’s first Employee Relations Team. In addition to her current role as advisor to the Executive Board for the Virginia Chapter of the Public Sector Human Resources Association (PSHRA-formerly IPMA-HR), she has held a variety of leadership positions for the chapter including chapter president. Cindy also serves on the PSHRA Certification Advisory Committee.

Cindy’s experience with Chesterfield County included presenting and facilitating both in-person and virtually on topics which support leadership development, interpersonal skills or quality improvement. She also served as an internal consultant helping work teams and citizen groups with strategic planning, customer service, conflict resolution and teambuilding. She holds senior professional HR certifications for both IPMA and SHRM.  She is certified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator assessment and the Conflict Dynamics Profile and is a trained mediator.

Cindy has a BA in Political Science from Virginia Tech and a Master of Public Administration from George Mason University.
