Dr. Pat Murphy

Dr. Patrick Murphy has served the public education sector for over three decades, leading school systems across Virginia, Maryland, and West Virginia. Before joining the Berkley Group, he held superintendent and deputy superintendent roles in districts ranging from 19,000 to 160,000 students, overseeing strategic planning, instructional leadership, budget management, and community engagement. Patrick brings deep expertise in educational governance, organizational development, and systems-level change, with a strong focus on equity, innovation, and student success.

His collaborative leadership has earned recognition for advancing graduation rates, literacy development, and post-secondary readiness. Dr. Murphy holds a Doctorate in Educational Administration from Virginia Tech.
