Steve Sadwick, FAICP

Steve’s career spans 34 years of municipal work, primarily in the land use and planning profession. After 4 years as a US Naval Officer, Steve received his Masters in Public Administration from Syracuse University and began working for the City of Syracuse in their Community Development Department. The experience in Syracuse included economic development, affordable housing development and land use planning.
Steve brought his experience to Massachusetts where he served as the Town of Stoneham’s Community Development Director and served in the same role for the Town of Tewksbury. Given his vast knowledge and experience he was promoted to Tewksbury’s first Assistant Town Manager in 2019.
In 2021, Steve was inducted into the Fellows College of the American Institute of Certified Planners. This was due to his significant contributions to the planning community in the communities that he served as well as the leadership roles that executed as President of the Massachusetts Chapter of the American Planning Association and President of the Massachusetts Association of Planning Directors. His public service places a high value on pragmatic solutions.
