Planning & Zoning Staff Support

To ensure that daily operations and long-range planning efforts remain on track, Berkley Group has embedded an experienced planner to support site plan review, zoning case processing, public hearing preparation, and day-to-day customer service. The staffing support has allowed the City to uphold service levels while managing increased application volumes.

In addition to general staffing assistance, Berkley Group has supported corridor planning efforts with a focus on aesthetic and functional improvements along key roadways. These efforts introduced overlay districts and corresponding landscape graphic standards to guide the form, character, and development intensity along targeted corridors in the City. The overlay strategy helps preserve the City’s identity, manage transitions between uses, and enhance entryway appeal.

Our services include:

• Ongoing support for planning and zoning case intake, review, and presentation; review of permit submittals

• Drafting staff reports and agenda materials for Planning & Zoning Commission and City Council

• Faciliation of Pre-Development meetings with City Staff and developers on subdivision and development proposals

• Introduction of overlay district language and visual graphics for enhanced corridor design.
