In June 2021, the Berkley Group began working with Richmond County to update their Comprehensive Plan. We are delighted that as of November 10, 2022, the Richmond County Board of Supervisors adopted Plan to Stay, Richmond County’s new 2042 Comprehensive Plan. Plan to Stay focuses on leveraging opportunities to protect the County’s resources, while fostering future development that creates a more prosperous and resilient community. Plan to Stay addresses complex challenges, such as aging in place, housing affordability/availability, social equity, balancing land uses, and hazard mitigation, among others. The Plan’s branding highlights the County’s defining feature – the Rappahannock River – and pays homage to the County’s motto, “A Place to Visit, A Place to Stay”.
We’re looking forward to future opportunities to work with Richmond County!
